How to use me3explorer

What I would advise is that, because of the incompatibility issues between anything created before and after REV 462, everyone update to REV 478 ( SVN or the SF release from ). Basically REVs 462 to 472 and the Sourceforge release can be considered blacklisted and should NOT be used. Now these issues exist between REV 462 and 472 and were fixed in REV 473 and the latest Sourceforge release. MODs has actually existed for some time but never was it so inexplicitly obvious. The backwards compatibility issue with texture.

Because the basegame treestruct had a dependency so did all mods generated with it. Scanning DLC creates a folder in your ME3 gamefiles called TexplorerDLCCache, it contains the ‘unpacked’ DLC content. TLDR: It would not generate the treestruct for Texplorer unless you were also scanning DLC or had scanned DLC in the past. This has to do with both a bug introduced in the treestruct generation and the loss of backwards compatibility through the use of a different texture replacement method. There have been a lot of issues reported since rev 462 (SVN). I’m dedicating a post to explain what’s been going on with the current REVs of ME3Explorer and how you should go about updating.
